School Shoes
Biannually, in January and August, Trees of Hope Jr. members receive a shopping list of needed shoes for the children at Star of Hope.
They spend an afternoon selecting shoes at Academy Sports + Outdoors to create a ‘shoe store’ at the Star of Hope facility.
Board, Advisory and TOH Members then assist the resident children in sizing and selecting their new shoes. At the same time, volunteers help with refreshments and an art project for the waiting children.
Moms
Matter
Each year, more than 50 mothers residing at Star of Hope’s Transitional Living Center are treated to entertainment, gifts, and refreshments.
Together, the Trees of Hope Board of Trustees and members create a memorable Mother’s Day for the mothers who are working diligently towards a better life for themselves and their children.
Our Moms Matter campaign features a gift that can be purchased, and proceeds go towards the Mother’s Day event.

TOY
STORE
For the past ten years Trees of Hope has volunteered and stocked toys for the Star of Hope Women & Family Emergency Shelter toy store.
The toy store holds brand new toys that have been donated to the mission for children to receive for free upon arrival or for special occasions.
Together with community partners, children at Star of Hope have a special place to go to find just the right toy.
